Tapawhā karaihe necklace is made from two rectangular glass panes (3 x 3 cm) hinged together and surrounded by a silver metal frame. Approximately 1.6mm between the glass panes. These are made for insertion of artwork and images with a drop pin latch. They are sturdy for wearing but not meant to be opened repeatedly once art is inserted or painted. The pendant is hanging from a 60 cm long chain.
